Renovations are set to run from October 2025 to January 2027, starting with Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.
In late 2024, Disney Vacation Club sources confirmed plans to begin the wholesale refurbishment at Kidani Village in October 2025. Newly released details confirm that phase of the project is scheduled to run through May 2026. In a roughly 8-month span, all 324 rooms at Kidani Village will be fully renovated. Rooms are expected to receive the pull down convertible sofabeds. Other updates should encompass floor coverings, wall coverings, furniture and fixtures. Upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom are also typical for a major refurbishment of this nature.
Immediately after work concludes at Kidani Village, crews will move to Jambo House where refurbishment is scheduled to run from May 2026 to January 2027.
All resort amenities are expected to remain open throughout the project. Villas are typically renovated in groups, with large blocks of guest rooms removed from service while work is performed. During the work, some disruptions may be seen and heard in daytime hours.
No specific design details have been released. This is the first "hard goods" refurbishment for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas since its opening in 2007.
It has been a busy couple of years for guest room refurbishments at Disney Vacation Club resorts. Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort all saw projects wrap-up in 2024. Updates are currently in progress at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, with both slated for completion this fall.
