A note posted to DVCMember.com indicates that DVC Member Services is not accepting reservations for the Bay Lake Tower on Monday, February 9, 2009:

Due to an unexpected system challenge, Member Services is unable to accept Vacation Points or cash reservations on Monday, February 9, for Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Additionally, previously booked reservations cannot be modified and new waitlist requests cannot be created. Our IT teams are diligently working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Members can call Member Services on Tuesday, February 10, for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Today's Orlando Sentinel has a brief mention of the 2010 points reallocation recently announced by Disney Vacation Club.  The Sentinel's story can be found HERE.

Today Disney Vacation Club has begun accepting reservations from owners at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs for their respective Home resorts.  Owners can now book check-in dates up through January 8, 2010 at the two newest DVC properties. 

Other DVC members can begin booking these two properties on February 22, 2009, up to 7 months in advance of their desired arrival date.  

Expect busy signals and long on-hold times as many members begin booking these locations for the first time.

DVCmember.com has announced a new way to book non-DVC resorts using their website. This applies to Walt Disney World,  Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland destinations which are part of The Disney Collection.  Note that Disneyland Resort Paris is excluded due to the requirement that guests purchase a ticket along with their reservation.

Disney Vacation Club recently announced some policy changes regarding the number of wait-list requests members may have active at a given time.  The statement is a bit ambiguous in exactly how these limits will be applied, so we went looking for some answers.
