The lobby coffee shop has reopened after being forced to close due to a water leak earlier this week.
On the afternoon of Thursday, August 15, Le Petit Cafe at Disney's Riviera Resort re-opened for business. On Monday afternoon, the shop closed unexpectedly due to an apparent water leak from the the floors above. Photos posted to the discussion board at DVCinfo.com showed water streaming down from the ceiling.
Guest rooms do not occupy the space immediately above Le Petit Cafe. Resort offices and other cast member areas are located in the third floor space above. There have not been any reports of guests being forced to relocate due to the leak.
For about three days, the cafe was closed with barricades obstructing the main entrance. Crews were seen repairing interior damage including drywall and paint on the ceiling. The cafe currently appears to be operating normally.
