After a multi-year absence, sleigh rides are returning to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the coming Christmas season.
From December 1 - 30, 2025, Fort Wilderness will offer horse-drawn carriage rides for guests. The rides last for approximately 25 minutes, departing from Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn located near the Settlement Depot bus stop. The rides take guests through the grounds of Fort Wilderness aboard a stylized carriage that looks like a sleigh. The cost is $80 per party, with each trip accommodating up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children.
Guests must park at the main entrance to Fort Wilderness and use the internal bus system to reach the Settlement Depot.
Rides take place rain or shine, though they may be cancelled in the even to severe weather. Advance reservations are offered 60 days ahead via the Disney website and are strongly encouraged. There is a 24 hour cancellation period to avoid being charged.
The sleigh ride return comes just over a year after the resort's 360 stand-alone cabins were converted to Disney Vacation Club villas. Construction is also well underway on Disney Lakeshore Lodge located immediately adjacent to Tri-Circle-D Ranch.
