It's time for our annual reminder that Disney Vacation Club Member Services telephone lines tend to be quite busy throughout the month of January.  This is the start of the 11-month booking window for reservations for December 2009. 

The entire 5-6 week period from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day tends to be one of the busiest on the DVC calendar.  Between the low point costs for early-December, holiday decorations and festivities and the need for many owners to travel during school vacation periods, many members book 11 months in advance and the resorts are near capacity for that entire timeframe. 

Be prepared for busy signals and long waits when contacting Member Services at least through the end of January. 

Multiple sources are reporting that Disney Vacation Club Member Services representatives are providing the date February 11, 2009 as the start of Disney's new on-line checkin service.  Arriving guests will be able to supply additional details using DVCMember.com prior to their arrival, which will significantly speed-up the process of obtaining room keys and materials upon arrival at the resort.

Disney Vacation Club has released information regarding the new Disney's Online Check-in program scheduled to begin in early 2009.  A quick trip to DVCMember.com will speed-up the process of receiving materials upon arrival at Walt Disney World.

Website TouringPlans.com is reporting that Disney is readying an on-line check-in system for guests saying at Walt Disney World resorts, including the Disney Vacation Club properties.  The system could be ready to debut as early as January 2009.

Site member "kapeman" spotted a new feature on DVCMember.com which allows owners to chat directly with a Disney Vacation Club Member Services rep.
