2009-10 Planners by May


Due to a number of program changes implemented at the end of 2008 (point reallocation, RCI) Disney Vacation Club is quite late in issuing the 2009-2010 vacation planners to its members.  However there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The 2009-10 planners should be in all members' hands by the end of May 2009.  Due to staggered shipping schedules and varying transport time, it will take several weeks for all members to receive this year's mailer.  But rest assured the planners will begin shipping very soon and all members should receive them within the next 45 days.

No Change to Check-in Time

Recently some rumors popped-up on line suggesting that Disney Vacation Club resorts were moving the published arrival time from "after 4pm" to "after 5pm."  DVCNews.com contacted a DVC executive who confirmed that there is no truth to this rumor. 

No changes have been made to the listed arrival times.  DVC resort staff will continue to make every effort to get members into their rooms as early as possible, with the goal being to accommodate all guests by 4pm daily.

On-line Check-in Launches

DVCmember.com has now launched the on-line check-in service. Members may now check-in up to 10 days before their scheduled arrival date through a link when accesssing their reservation information. Members will be able to add room requests, review reservations, and enter celebration information.

BLT Reservations Temporarily On-Hold

A note posted to DVCMember.com indicates that DVC Member Services is not accepting reservations for the Bay Lake Tower on Monday, February 9, 2009:


Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort transactions unavailable Monday, February 9

Due to an unexpected system challenge, Member Services is unable to accept Vacation Points or cash reservations on Monday, February 9, for Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Additionally, previously booked reservations cannot be modified and new waitlist requests cannot be created. Our IT teams are diligently working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Members can call Member Services on Tuesday, February 10, for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
