Scheduled system maintainenance will leave Disney Vacation Club members unable to connect to the timeshare trading partner for the majority of a day.
One of the less heralded perks of Disney Vacation Club ownership is the ability to trade points for other destinations who partner with Interval International. Inventory can be searched online by linking via the DVC members website. But that connection will not be available for approximately 15 hours this coming weekend.
The full notice from Interval International reads as follows:
We’re upgrading our technology so we can continue to power your vacations.
To ensure our systems are optimized to serve you, we are doing an upgrade to our back-end infrastructure systems. As a result, access to Intervalworld.com and the Interval International To Go app will be unavailable beginning Saturday, October 18th at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. Service is anticipated to be restored by Saturday, October 18th at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
Please note that during this time, you won’t be able to access your Interval membership or perform actions such as making an exchange or Getaway. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
You’ll have full access leading up to this downtime and again when the systems are restored. As this is an infrastructure upgrade, you will not see any changes to Intervalworld.com, the Interval International To Go app or your membership profile.
We hope this will be the full extent of the downtime, but if there are any intermittent unplanned or additional service disruptions, we’ll keep you informed as needed.
Interval International was named the official trading partner of DVC back in 2022 after more than a decade of working with competitor RCI. Other timershare systems that trade with Interval include Marriott Vacation Club and Hyatt Vacation Club. Members can access Interval International options by logging into the members-only website then clicking "Plan Vacation" and "Manage Interval International Vacations."
