Disney has removed a large tree which long obscured the view from several Disney Vacation Club rooms with a Theme Park View at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
p>When the Big Pine Key rooms were added to Disney Vacation Club in 2022, they sported some of the most expensive Studio rooms in the program courtesy of the Theme Park View designation. Twenty-eight rooms on the building's endcap face toward the Magic Kingdom theme park, providing an ideal view for fireworks viewing. However, nearly 1/3 of these rooms had their view impacted by the presence of a large tree. See the photo below from 2021 which shows the tree blocking the view from approximately 2 villas on each floor. The 4th floor dormer on the far left is not even visible behind the tree.
Today, a photo taken from the same angle shows clearer lines-of-sight from every unit. A small palm tree sits along the shoreline in this general area, but is unlikely to impact the theme park's view from any of the villas.
It is not entirely clear when this change occurred. The tree may have been removed weeks or months ago. Nevertheless, guests booking the Grand Floridian Theme Park View should have fewer concerns about room assignments diminishing the experience in these pricey villas.
Thanks to Wil for the photos!
