Not much has changed in recent weeks at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as large portions of the lobby are still blocked off for renovations.
In April, Disney revealed plans to add a new bar to the Grand Floridian's lobby. Since our update in mid-June, most of the underground plumbing and foundation updgrades now appear to be complete.
The front desk area is still completely walled off as the area is renovated. Visible in the foreground are two temporary lobby concierge stations staffed by cast members ready to assist guests.
Behind the new bar location, temporary signs direct guests through the narrow passage to reach the restaurants, elevators and Sandy Cove Gifts.
Limited guest seating is currently available due to the construction walls and temporary lobby concierge desks.
The side staircase near Sandy Cove Gifts is also currently unavailable. The large main staircase remains open, along with the lobby elevators.
The lobby modifications are scheduled for completion by November 2025. The holiday gingerbread display will not be presented this year at the Grand Floridian, however Disney is reportedly considering other locations for a similar exhibit.
