Reports have been making the rounds--both on the DVCNews Forum and elsewhere--that refurbishment work is beginning at Disney's BoardWalk Villas. We've got the scoop on exactly what upgrades are on tap and the timeline for completion.
Disney has issued a press release with additional details regarding the restaurant which will replace Spoodles on Disney's BoardWalk.
Disney's BoardWalk Inn and VIllas is losing one of its signature restaurants. Spoodles will close later this year to make way for Kouzzina by Cat Cora.

The exterior of Disney's BoardWalk Villas will receive a great deal of TLC throughout 2009. The building itself is scheduled for minor repairs and painting, while the roof over the Villa wing will also be replaced.
The painting project has already begun and will continue until approximately September 25, 2009. The roof replacement is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2009 and run until November 6, 2009.
The lobby of Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas will be quite a little beehive of activity throughout the month of September as a number of maintenance projects are completed.
