Friday July 1, 2011 will mark 15 years since the grand opening of Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas in 1996.  Disney Vacation Club recently celebrated with a birthday cake at the weekly Welcome Home Wednesdays celebration.  Check it out below.

During June and July, guests at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas will have to maneuver around a number of refurbishment projects involving the resort's sidewalks and stairways.

The BoardWalk Villas' iconic pool slide is scheduled to close for 6 weeks in early 2011.

One of the BoardWalk's newer eateries will be closing for a short rehab in December prior to the arrival of the holiday crowds.

Somewhat abruptly, Disney has announced that the main pool at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas will close for maintenance this coming week.

Disney's BoardWalk is the subject of a 6-page article and photo spread in the November/December 2009 issue of Celebrations magazine.  The story highlights recreation and dining options available at the resort, as well as historical perspective on the location and theme.
