The Disney Vacation Club members-only lounge will move to a temporary location while work is performed at EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion.
The DVC member lounge on the 2nd floor of the Imagination Pavilion will be closed from June 2 to July 14, 2024. This is the first extended closure for the space since its debut in the summer of 2016.
During the closure, a temporary lounge will operate out of the Odyssey Events Pavilion located between World Celebration and the World Showcase.
It is not immediately clear what sort of work will be performed during the closure. For many years, rumors have swirled around a possible update to the attraction Journey Into Imagination with Figment.
Minor updates have been applied to the lounge in recent years including refreshed paint and new seating.
The lounge operates daily, with access limited to Disney Vacation Club members who qualify for Membership Extras and their guests. The unique space provides visitors with an elevated look at EPCOT including Spaceship Earth. Comfortable seating and charging stations are available, along with complimentary soft drinks and snacks.
Two other DVC lounges are currently in place: Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Star View Station at Disneyland. Disney revealed plans to open another lounge at Walt Disney World in the future. One rumor pointed toward a Frontierland location for the new site but no confirmation has been forthcoming.
