The Chicago-area Disney Vacation Club sales center has an event scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2011 to promote the benefits of DVC ownership.
For a limited time, Disney Vacation Club is holding daily sales events dubbed "Vacation with Character." Similar to the now-discontinued sessions at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, these gatherings offer current and prospective members the opportunity to preview DVC accommodations while providing some extra benefits to attendees.
June 2011 was a good month for direct sales. For the nine Disney Vacation Club resorts for which point sales can be tracked, a total of 254,477 points were sold. Not only was June's recorded sales total 26.6% higher than the previous month's total, it was the second best month in direct sales over the last 12 months.
Disney Vacation Development has changed the language on the Notice it issues when it waives its right of first refusal. Part of the change reflects the loss of certain exchange privileges beginning March 20, 2011 for points bought on the resale market.
