Financial News & Pricing

With sales steadily climbing since June, October’s sales could have tied a record of five consecutive months of increasing point sales.  Unfortunately, direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points took a step back in October 2025.

In October 2025, Disney sold 151,882 Disney Vacation Club points for the 12 DVC timeshare resorts located at World Disney World.  This represents a 11.0% decline from the previous month and 24.5% less than October 2024.  But it is also a drop of only 4.6% compared to what direct sales have averaged in calendar year 2025.

For the twelfth straight month, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows led all resorts in sales.  For each of those twelve months, Disney’s Riviera Resort has come in second place, trailing the Polynesian by an average of over 22,000 points.  In October, the gap between the Polynesian and the Riviera was only 12,002 points, the second smallest gap in the last year.

Ten years ago, in October 2015, total points sold for the nine DVC resorts at Walt Disney World was 104,298 points.   The Polynesian had been in active sales for ten months and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort had finished its first iteration of sales and was no longer being actively marketed by Disney.  Polynesian led all resorts in sales with 80,712 points with Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas in second place with 7,567 points and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort in third with 6,078 points.

Disney Vacation Club Direct Sales 2025 10

The largest single deed sold in October 2025 was a 935-point deed for the Riviera.  The single largest deed sold for the Polynesian was for 500 points.

Disney’s Riviera Resort —  In October 2025, 59,297 points were sold for Riviera.  The resort has averaged 71,080 points a month since its first deeds were recorded in April 2019.

Disney has sold 5,511,665 Riviera points, about 81.8% of the resort’s 6,739,966 total points.

Five Fixed Week deeds were sold in October for Riviera Resort.  Four deeds were for Resort View Studios and one was for a Grand Villa.  So far, 149 such deeds have been sold for the resort.

Only 20 of the Riviera’s 341 vacation homes have not been declared for the DVC inventory.  The DVC inventory now accounts for 5,817,509 points, or 94.4% of the Riviera’s 6.7 million total points.  In all likelihood this declaration was the penultimate declaration before the resort is fully declared for the DVC condominium association.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort  In October 2025, 11,515 points were sold for the Cabins, Sales for the Cabins have exceeded the 10,000-point mark five times since the resort debuted in February 2024.

Disney has now sold 152,755 points for the Cabins, which is about 5.5% of the resort’s estimated 2,780,943 total points.  It is now averaging 7,274 points a month in sales.

Based on the Cabins’ total number of points and the number of cabins the resort will have when fully declared, each cabin has been allotted about 7,661 points.  Given the number of points sold so far, Disney has “sold” about 19.9 cabins’ worth of points.

No Fixed Week deeds were sold for the Cabins in September.  Disney has sold 22 Fixed Week deeds for the resort.

Disney has declared 63 cabins for the timeshare inventory.  DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day.  There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared.  Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows  In October 2025, 71,299 points were sold for Polynesian.  Disney has sold 1,034,948 points (28.7%) of the 3,608,934 points allotted to the residential units at the Polynesian’s Island Tower.

Island Tower has averaged 79,674 points a month since the first deeds were recorded in October 2024.  At that pace, the resort is still on pace to be sold out by the Summer of 2028.

In October, no Fixed Week deed were sold for accommodations at Island Tower.  Disney has sold 39 Fixed Week deeds for Island Tower.

On October 14, 2025, Disney declared 23 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at Island Tower.  This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 84 to 107.  There are still 115 vacation homes at the Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney.  The declared inventory accounts for 1,751,673 points, which is 48.5% of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points.

The Orange County, California, Clerk Recorder is the source for public information about sales for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at the Disneyland Resort.  Beginning in January 2025, its public website no longer displays the deed document tax amount for deeds recorded with the county.  Since the tax amount was the only way to infer the number of DVC points for each deed, it is no longer possible to estimate the number of points sold for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel timeshare.  Therefore, sales data for these resorts will no longer be included in the monthly sales report.

The sales data includes all 12 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.  Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.  Thanks to Chris and Dan for assisting in the compilation of the sales data.
