In anticipation of strong sales for the newest addition to the Disney Vacation Club, more vacation homes were declared for the timeshare inventory at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
On December 10, 2024, just a week before Island Tower at the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows welcomed its first guests, Disney declared 14 more vacation homes for the resort’s DVC inventory. This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 40 to 54. There are still 168 vacation homes at the Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney.
All 14 of the newly declared vacation homes are located on the third floor. Included in this declaration are four Duo Studios, seven Tower Studios, two Lockoff Two-Bedroom Villas, and one Dedicated Two-Bedroom Villa. In terms of DVC points, these 14 vacation homes have been allotted 182,313 points.
Combined with the earlier declaration made by Disney on July 31, 2024, the DVC inventory at the Island Tower now stands at 54 vacation homes and contains 849,652 (23.5%) of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 total points. Disney Vacation Club owners are currently eligible to book these 54 rooms using vacation points on every use day.
The breakout of declared vacation homes by type are as follows:
- 13 of 39 Duo Studios
- 21 of 91 Tower Studios
- 4 of 26 Dedicated One-Bedroom Villas
- 12 of 46 Lockoff Two-Bedroom Villas
- 2 of 16 Dedicated Two-Bedroom Villas
- 2 of 4 Two-Bedroom Deluxe Villas
The 168 vacation homes not yet declared are under the control of Disney. It can use those accommodations as cash reservations, for marketing purposes, or any other reason Disney chooses.
Although the legally-declared rooms are located on the building's third floor, incoming guests can be placed in any matching accommodation type on any floor of the building.
