Transformation of the lobby gift shop will reportedly be one of the next projects at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas.
WDW News Today is reporting that Dundy's Sundries will close permanently on October 3, 2022. The space, adjacent to the resort's front desk, will be repurposed as a coffee bar. Back in March, Disney had revealed plans for a new cafe within the resort, though the exact location had remained unknown.
Dundy's Sundries is one of two merchandise location at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas. Throughout its history, the shop stocked a variety of toiletries and other vacation essentials, magazines and paperbacks, beach towels, luggage and similar items. At one time it was a consistent spot to find Disney Vacation Club and resort-specific merchandise.
Disney recently posted a general refurbishment advisory for the resort, warning guests that they may encounter disturbances during upcoming visits.
Merchandise from Dundy's Sundries will be relocated to The Screen Door on Disney's BoardWalk.
