Exterior work on Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts may continue for more than 2 additional years.
Back in May, Disney announced a refurbishment of the Porte Cochere at Disney's Beach Club Resort. The project was set to run from June through September 2025. While the Porte Cochere renovations are still scheduled to end next month, a newly updated refurbishment notice indicates that other work is planned well into 2027.
The revised alert reads as follows:
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing routine exterior maintenance through 2027. As part of this work, the porte cochere will be closed through September 2025. This work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place.
While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available. All pools, resort dining and most other amenities will remain available.
No other details are available at this time. However, the extended 2-year timeframe suggests substantial exterior renovations will be performed on resort buildings. This work may or may not include the Disney Vacation Club villa building. The Beach Club is also home to several hundred hotel rooms, the main lodge building and a convention center.
Still, guests should expect to see construction barriers, scaffolding and and other visual disruptions during their visit. Certain pathways and amenities may be unavailable as dictated by the work being performed. The extended 2 year+ timeframe suggests that crews may periodically halt work during periods of high occupancy
This is the latest in a series of projects designed to refresh Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. The Stormalong Bay feature pool complex recently reopened following a 6-month closure. All Disney Vacation Club villa interiors were refurbished back in 2023. The Dunes Cove quiet pool was also refreshed in late 2023. Disney's Yacht Club is currenlty undergoing exterior renovations with that project set for completion in 2026.
