Back in February 2007, Disney Vacation Club began offering points at the Animal Kingdom Villas. Existing DVC members were given the first opportunity to purchase and those who purchased a certain amount of points were given "Founding Member" status. Among the perks granted to the Founding Members is a personalized commemmorative plaque to display at home.
After a year-and-a-half wait, the plaques have begun arriving at Founding Members' homes. Each of the plaques containes a unique beaded necklace along with a nameplate recognizing the family who was among the first to own points at Disney's eighth Vacation Club resort.

The Founding Members will also be recognized on a tapestry which will hang in the lobby of the Kidani Village building set to open in May 2009.
