As construction continues on Disney Lakeshore Lodge, let's take a quick look at visiblity of the new resort from around Walt Disney World.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is bound to change some of the scenery around Walt Disney World. Located on the shores of Bay Lake, the building is easily visible from both Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

It is also true that the resort will be visible from the Walt Disney World Monorail at various points. The elevated nature of the Monorail allows riders to see over the tops of buildings and trees in that general area. The two photos above were recently taken when riding the Monorail as it passes by Disney's Contemporary Resort.

The two images directly above and below are from September, taken from the Monorail between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and the Magic Kingdom station. Here again, the elevated nature of the monorail provides an angle above the Contemporary buildings and trees surrounding Wilderness Lodge.

Fortunately, the building is obscured at ground level from various points in these areas. Not pictured, but it was very difficult to find any trace of Lakeshore Lodge from the Magic Kingdom and surrounding areas. In the photo directly above, the striped roof of the Contemporary convention center is visible. This hides Lakeshore Lodge pretty effecitvely from lower elevations.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be the eighteenth Disney Vacation Club property. It is expected to open sometime in 2027.
