In recent weeks we've shown you images of construction work already underway in Anaheim, now it appears Disney may be ready to spill the beans. Multiple sources are pointing toward a major announcement on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. According to Al Lutz of www.MiceAge.com, Disney will finally announce its intention to build a DVC component at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel.
It just so happens that Bob Iger already has a forum to make such an announcement. The Walt Disney Company's President and CEO is scheduled to appear at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference on 9/18 at 12pm EDT / 9am PDT. A Webcast of the session will be broadcast at www.disney.com/investors for those who may wish to listen. Now, bear in mind that we cannot guarantee that a DVC announcement will be made during the Webcast, so listen at your own risk.
Incidentally, our spies within DVC have reported that the sales Guides were notified of a meeting at 8:30am EDT on 9/18 and attendance is mandatory. Connect the dots and tomorrow may prove to be an eventful day for the Disney Vacation Club.
