Disney aims to boost direct time-share sales by restricting resales

As previously reported by DVCNews.com, contract purchases through a reseller will soon be subject to limitations in the variety of destinations at which the points can be utilized.  DVCMember.com has been updated to include Disney Vacation Club's official statement on the differentiation between direct and resale purchases.

Disney Vacation Club is set to unveil a Direct Purchase Benefit program in which some destinations will be withheld from those purchasing points on the secondary market.

Disney Vacation Club has unveiled a new travel insurance option for members.  The new program, administered by Travelx, provides insurance for a full year's worth of vacations at a cost of just $79 per member.

Disney Vacation Club computer systems will experience another outage starting at 5:30pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 and running into Wednesday December 15.
