Nichole Shaw was recognized for saving a child at Walt Disney World.
Shaw serves as a Sales Experience Manager for Disney Vacation Club. In the course of her duties, she encountered a choking child at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and was able to render aid.
The Disney Heroes Award is given to Cast Members who perform life-saving acts, either on the clock or off the clock. Shaw received a pin recognizing the accomplishment, which will be affixed to her Disney Cast Member name tag. She said "I felt like a hero before this award came and I hope that this pin will not only be a reflection of something that happened in my life, but it will also be an inspiration to folks."
More than 100 Disney Cast Members have received the award since its creation in 2008.
