Over the past several weeks, Disney Vacation Club has become more aggressive in buying-back points at many of its older properties.
In September 2015, overall direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points rose to 114,323 points, a 13.3% increase compared to the previous month. Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, the only Walt Disney World DVC resort currently being actively marketed, accounted for 82,909 of the points sold for the month.
Disney Vacation Club has updated its promotional incentives for the direct purchase of points at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Additionally first ever discounts are available for Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, assuming buyers are willing to spend a small fortune.
Before the year is up, buyers will find themselves paying more to purchase points at two Disney Vacation Club properties.
In August 2015, the Orange County Property Appraiser issued "Notices of Proposed Property Taxes" for 2015 for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at Walt Disney World. These notices indicate that taxes are going up, and in most cases they are going up more than anticipated.
