Financial News & Pricing

Direct sales of Disney Vacation Club closed out the first calendar quarter in relatively good fashion.  Sales for the quarter ending March 2025 were up 69.5% compared to the same quarter in 2024, while increasing 27.9% compared to the previous four quarters.

In March 2025, 179,127 Disney Vacation Club points were sold for the 12 DVC timeshare resorts located at World Disney World.  For the quarter, sales averaged 180,564 points, significantly better than the 106,532 points these same resorts averaged in the first quarter of 2024.  Sales in March also surpassed the 141,136 points DVC sales averaged in all of 2024.

Not surprisingly, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows continued to lead all resorts in sales.  Disney’s Riviera Resort was second with The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas a distant third and fourth, respectively.

Several large point deeds were sold in March, including a 1,000-point deed for the Polynesian, a 700-point deed for Riviera, three 600-point deeds for Riviera, and a 600-point deed for Grand Floridian.  There were also some split deed purchases as well:  1,000 Polynesian points split into four 250-point deeds; 900 Polynesian points split into four 225-point deeds; and 600 points split between 400 points for Riviera and 200 points for The Cabins at Fort Wilderness

Disney’s Riviera Resort —  In March, 60,014 points were sold for Riviera, the fewest since 49,781 points were sold for the resort in September 2023.  Disney has now sold 5,181,982 Riviera points, about 76.9% of the resort’s 6,739,966 total points.

Disney has been selling points for Riviera Resort since March 2019, with the first deeds recorded in April 2019.  It has averaged 73,042 points in monthly sales with a high of 181,289 points in January 2020 and a low of 7,910 points in June 2020 during the global pandemic.  The Riviera exceeded the 100,000 point mark eight times in its first 12 months of sales but only once since March 2020.  The resort continues to be on pace to be completely sold out by the last calendar quarter of 2026.  However, Disney can consider a resort to be “sold out” at any time.  In the past, Disney has considered some other resorts to be “sold out” when only 95% or less of a resort has been sold.

Only one Fixed Week deed was sold for Riviera in March.  Disney has sold 142 Fixed Week deeds for the resort with week #52 (18 deeds), week #49 (16 deeds), and week #51 (15 deeds) being the most popular weeks.

Disney has declared 294 of the Riviera’s 441 vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at the resort.  There are still 47 vacation homes that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney.  The DVC inventory now accounts for 5,817,509 points, or 86.3% of the Riviera’s 6.7 million total points.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort  In March 2025, 7,065 points were sold for the Cabins, slightly more than the 6,573 points it has averaged since sales began in February 2024.

Disney has now sold 92,512 points for the Cabins, which is about 3.3% of the resort’s estimated 2,780,943 total points.

No Fixed Week deeds were sold in March.  To date, 16 Fixed Week deeds have been sold for ten different weeks.  The most popular week is  Week #43 with six Fixed Week deeds.  Week #43 starts on October 26 in 2025.

Disney has declared 63 cabins for the timeshare inventory.  DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day.  There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared.  Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows  In March, 91,219 points were sold for the Polynesian, the second most number of points in brief six month sales history of Island Tower.  Disney has sold 507,102 points (14.1%) of the 3,608,934 points allotted to the residential units at the Polynesian’s Island Tower

Island Tower has averaged 84,645 points a month since the first deeds were recorded in October 2024.  If the resort were to maintain that pace, it would take less than 36 months before all its points would be sold.

In March, four Fixed Week deeds were sold for accommodations at Island Tower, increasing the number of such deeds to 30.  The two most popular weeks are weeks #39 and #49 with four Fixed Weeks each.

On March 18, 2025, Disney declared 18 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at the Polynesian’s Island Tower.  This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 54 to 72.  There are still 150 vacation homes at Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney.  The declared inventory accounts for 1,185,190 points, which is 32.8% of Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points.

The Orange County, California, Clerk Recorder is the source for public information about sales for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at the Disneyland Resort.  Beginning in January 2025, its public website no longer displays the deed document tax amount for deeds recorded with the county.  Since the tax amount was the only way to infer the number of DVC points for each deed, it is no longer possible to estimate the number of points sold for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel timeshare.  Therefore, sales data for these resorts will no longer be included in the monthly sales report.

The sales data includes all 12 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.  Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.  Thanks to Chris from dvc.market for assisting in the compilation of the sales data.
