Effective September 1, 2014, Walt Disney World has implemented changes to the operating schedule for its monorail system.
Current operating hours for the three monorail lines are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom Resorts line: 8:30am to 11:00pm (extended to midnight on hard ticket event nights)
- Magic Kingdom Express line: 9:30am to one hour after Magic Kingdom fireworks
- Epcot line: 9:00am to 11:00pm
Disney plans to increase bus and boat service during periods when monorail service is limited.
No word on exactly how long this schedule will remain in place.
