Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is set to reopen on May 1, 2025, at which time Blizzard Beach will close for the season.
Throughout the month of April, a series of events limited-time events will come to Disney's Blizzard Beach. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will greet guests dressed in their winter attire. A DJ will play music throughout the day, along with dance parties and family-friendly games. Unique character-themed tubes will be found on Cross Country Creek, and limited time food and beverage offerings will be available for purchase.
Blizzard Beach originally opened back in April 1995 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. These special features will be offered at the park from April 1-30, 2025.
May 1 will see Blizzard Beach closing as Typhoon Lagoon reopens for the summer season. Just a few weeks later, Typhoon Lagoon hosts the first of two Moonlight Magic events this year for Disney Vacation Club owners. The two Typhoon Lagoon dates are set for May 20 and June 9.
All Walt Disney World resort guests--including Disney Vacation Club members--can currently take advantage of free access to Disney water parks on their hotel check-in date. This perk is set to run at least through December 31, 2025.
