On Thursday, Hurricane Milton moved past the east coast of Florida and out into the Atlantic. The area immediately surrounding Walt Disney World appeared to suffer minimal damage. The most widely reported issue was damage to the roof of the Aeroteroa building at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Individuals staying in that building, which reportedly included Cast Members who were part of the resort's hurricane team, were moved to new locations.

Social media accounts showed some foliage disrupted by the high winds and light flooding in landscaping. The three resorts which were forced to partially close--Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Cascade Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge--are expected to reopen in the coming days.

Air traffic has resumed at Orlando International Airport, Tampa International Airport and other surrounding terminals. Guests should contact their airlines to determine if they will experience any travel delays.

All four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs reopened the morning of October 11. Mini-golf courses are also avaialble to guests. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon waterpark is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, October 12.
