Direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points almost reached 300,000 points in March 2015. Led by sales for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, 294,902 DVC points were sold in the month, an increase of 20.4% over the previous month.

There is an undeniable thrill associated with being an opening day guest at a new resort.  The sheets are brand new, the bed has never been slept in and (in theory) everything is in perfect working order.    

But reality may stray a bit from those romantic visions if there are any lingering mechanical glitches in the new rooms or if nearby construction work is still under way.
