Bay Lake Tower

Disney Vacation Club has invited Walt Disney World Annual Passholders to preview the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. 

This latest series of  "Vacation As You Wish" events will be held July 10 - 12, 2009.  The events will include "a special sales presentation featuring an interactive show, giveaways, tasty treats [and] a dance party with Disney Character greetings." Attendees will also be able to tour the Bay Lake Tower facilities nearly a month before they open to the general public.

Disney recently hosted a press preview of rooms located within the still-under-construction Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Guests were able to step inside one of the two-story Grand Villas spanning the top two floors of the building.  Following are links to several websites' coverage of the event:

In addition to announcing the August 4th opening of the Bay Lake Tower, DVCMember.com has revealed that DVC Members wishing to use points for Disney's Contemporary Resort (A-frame tower) must make their rservation by 3/14/09 and complete the stay by 12/31/09.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Disney has set an August 4, 2009 grand opening for the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  This date is several weeks ahead of the originally-projected September 2009 opening.

Reports indicate that Disney Vacation Club owners at the Bay Lake Tower can begin making reservations on February 8, 2009.  Owners at other DVC resorts can begin booking the Tower effective February 22, 2009.
