Upcoming guests at Disney's Vero Beach Resort will find new, more plush pool towels at the resort, along with a new procedure for obtaining and replacing the towels.

Notices posted to the website of Indian River County, Florida indicate that the beach adjacent to Disney's Vero Beach Resort will be undergoing a replenishment project beginning in early February.

In 2007 Disney Vacation Club expanded the sleeping accommodations for its One and Two Bedroom villas by adding a twin-sized sleeper chair to the design of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.  Now that amenity has made its way to one of the older DVC properties.

A pair of refurbishment projects are currently slated for the summer months at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

From May 26 to 31, 2009, the elevator doors and wallcoverings throughout the resort will be replaced.  Elevators in specific Villa buildings may be unavailable while work is performed, however the Inn building will always have at least one elevator available for guest use.

Additionally, from June 22 to August 31, 2009, all of the resort's guest room doors will be replaced.

Throughout the summer months, Disney Vacation Club members staying at the Vero Beach Resort will be able to dine with Donald andGoofy decked-out in their pirate garb.

Disney Vacation Club has revealed that wireless Internet service is now available at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.  The service is complimenary to all DVC members using points to stay at the resort.  There is a $9.95 per day charge for other guests.
