Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will close for at least a week as Hurricane Florence barrels toward the east coast.

A Disney Vacation Club family was enjoying the water adjacent to the Beach House at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort when one of their sons was bitten by a shark.  

The final Disney Vacation Club hurricane-related closure will be lifted on Monday morning.  

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will close as Hurricane Irma makes its way up the east coast.  

One travel publication has named Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort the best in the state.
