MouseFest 2009 Canceled

The folks behind the annual MouseFest gathering in early December have reluctantly announced that the 2009 event has been canceled.  Complete details can be found at MouseFest.org

We'll use this as an opportunity to remind everyone that the folks who help bring you DVCNews.com are setting up some events for the week of October 25, 2009.  Planning is already under way.  

The events are expected to be very low key--just an organized opportunity to put faces with names from this site and its forum.  If you will be visiting Walt Disney World during that period and wish to participate, please let us know in this forum thread.  

Disney Charging for Resort Packages?

With airlines charging up to $100 round trip for a single suitcase, many Walt Disney World guests have begun mailing items to their resort ahead of time.  Shipping a box of items via UPS or FedEx can be a more economical alternative to the airline fees.  But it seems that Disney may soon absorb a bit of that savings.

MouseManager Nears 800 Users

Vacation planning program MouseManager recently passed the 700 user threshold and is quickly approaching 800 registered users.  Additionally program author Ian plans to begin work on version 2.0 of MouseManager soon.
